Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

We're all guilty of using words and expressions that others don't understand. In casual conversation, we can ask for clarification. On job applications, you may not have that opportunity. Those of us who live and travel in recreational vehicles are big on using abbreviations, acronyms, and initialisms. We use jargon and trademarked words.

It is easy to use industry expressions and trademarked words incorrectly. It is also easy to take for granted that others know what we mean. Many times, they don't. Even other RVers and those who hire RVers don't understand much of the slang. They may have never heard of it, or the words may have different meanings to them. Be aware of that when you are making job inquiries.

Bob and I are working in Alaska this summer. Although we have spent some winters RVing in Alaska, we're planning to go south this fall.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

JR Watkins - A Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been selling JR Watkins products since 2005. People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. The business is extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want. No minimum orders. They'll drop-ship the products for you. Work the business wherever your RV travels take you -- USA or Canada. See the product catalog and learn more.

Working Camper Barter Rates

A working RVer asked a question about figuring what an RV site is worth and how to go about getting a better work-for-site agreement. I offered a couple of solutions. Others shared their thoughts. There's a lot more to it than simply dividing the cost of the site by the number of hours worked.
