Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Holiday traditions vary so much from place to place. As we travel, we really enjoy seeing, and taking part in, the various community celebrations. Here in southern Texas, we see many businesses closed for Easter. Not just Easter Sunday, but for several days. I think it is highly influenced by the Mexican culture and their religious Easter observations. We went to the dentist in Mexico on Tuesday, and cannot go back for the follow-up appointment until Monday, because the office is closed for Easter.

However you celebrate Easter, we hope you have a glorious and blessed holiday. Happy Easter!

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip - Sluggish Business Can Mean Increased Jobs for RVers

When business is slow, employers shy away from hiring more full-time, permanent employees. They may fill the gap with temporary workers. Those short-term positions are right for working RVers.

Working RVer Tip - Personal Referrals

Ask your current employer if he has a colleague in another area who might need help. Employers often know others within their industry, including those who live across the country. A written referral is nice. However, a quick phone call to a fellow businessman, giving a personal referral, is a whole lot better.

Working RVer Tip - Make Yourself (or Your Product or Service) Necessary

Market yourself, your product, or your service as a necessity. Employers may be cutting back on personnel, but they still need, and will hire, key staff. People may be cutting back on discretionary spending, but they are still buying essential products and services. Show them how they need what you have to offer.
