Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I are still on Galveston Island, still enjoying the hospitality of the folks at Galveston Island RV Resort. You know that one of the things we like about traveling is eating our way across the country. But, believe it or not, that's only part of it. We also like learning about the people and places we visit.

One of the things we learned about Galveston Island is that it is where Texans come to escape the summer heat. RVers and campers from Dallas and Houston come down to the Island for weekends and vacations. They say it is about 10 degrees cooler here.

If you are leaving the Rio Grande Valley in mid-March, you may want to stop here on your way north. I've talked the owner of the resort into giving you a free souvenir t-shirt and free electricity during your stay. The catch is that your stay needs to be sometime between March 20 and May 20. But, I figure that's perfect for after you leave the Valley, and before it is quite warm enough to be back in the Midwest. And for you planners, you can take advantage of the same deal in the fall on your way down, if your timing is right. Come after Labor Day and stay for a few days or until the end of October, and you'll also get the souvenir t-shirt and free electricity. Not everyone is getting this deal -- you have to tell them Coleen from Workers On Wheels sent you. To make reservations, give them a call at 409-200-2745.

There have been a lot of Help Wanted ads coming in lately. Be sure to take time to look through them. They range from a family owned amusement park to a plant nursery. I just posted an ad for gate guards and they emphasized they are looking for people NOW. There's an assortment of campgrounds, resorts, and marinas from rustic to elite. Locations range from Cedar Kay and Orlando, Florida, to several parks in Alberta, Canada.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

JR Watkins - A Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been selling JR Watkins products since 2005. People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. The business is extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want. No minimum orders. They'll drop-ship the products for you. Work the business wherever your RV travels take you -- USA or Canada. See the product catalog and learn more.

Working RVer Tip -- Be Prepared for an Interview

Be ready for on-the-spot job interviews. You never know when an employer may call you and want to do an interview right there and then, on the phone call. Or, your intention may be to just drop of an application, but the interview takes a quick glance and decides he wants to immediately know more about you and your skills. Be prepared.
