It's the time of year for state fairs. One article I read said Minnesota hires 3000 workers for its state fair. If you want to work the Minnesota State Fair, you may fill out an application online to start the process. They start taking applications in May. You eventually need to go to their
Employment Center for an in-person interview. They have pages of employment information on their fair website. The Texas State Fair website also has seasonal employment information. For the Texas fair, you may apply online. They contact you if you are selected for an interview. The Minnesota fair website lists only general categories of workers. The Texas fair website has specific jobs, complete with job duties listed. Short-term work is available at all state fairs. Their websites are a good
place to start seeing what is available.

Take advantage of the search function on the Workers On Wheels website. It
searches our website -- not the entire worldwide web, just our Workers On Wheels website. To find jobs in a particular state, enter the state two-letter abbreviation, followed by a colon. So for instance, if you want to find jobs in Utah, put "UT:" in the search box. If you want to find jobs where you work with horses or where you are welcome to bring your horse to the job with you, put "horse" in the search box.

Working RVer Tip - Interview Prospective Employers
A job interview
is a two-way street. Before the interview, check the employer's website. At the interview, ask questions. You are interviewing the employer as much as the employer is interviewing you.

Working RVer Tip - Gut Instincts
If a job doesn't feel right, it probably isn't right. Your gut instinct is usually spot-on
in knowing what is a good match for you. The location, the salary, and the duties can all be right. The people can be really nice. And, yet, there can be something about the position that your gut just senses is wrong.

Positive RVing Attitudes
Men are generally idle, and ready to satisfy themselves, and intimidate the industry of others, by calling that impossible which is only difficult. ~ Samuel Johnson
The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any. ~ Alice Walker
