Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

I think we are having a Cajun Christmas this year. We're heading to Arkansas to visit friends. Then, I think we are going to southern Louisiana for a week or so.

How nice it was to meet some of our followers at the campground this past week! We hope we answered some of your questions. Bob and I thank you for taking the time to come out to meet us.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

One consideration when choosing a campground job is the number of hours -- if any -- they require you to work in exchange for your RV site. Divide the monthly cost of the site by the total number of work hours to determine your equivalent hourly wage. For instance if the campground charges $500 a month for a site, and you work 20 hours a week to pay for that site (which is 86.6 hours a month), divide $500 by 86.6, to get the equivalent pay rate of $5.77 per hour. Only you can decide what is a good deal for you.

Working RVer Tip

Being a working RVer does NOT mean that you must work in exchange for your RV site. Many RVers choose to work temporary or seasonal jobs that pay wages for all hours worked, along with providing an RV site. Others choose seasonal or short-term employment that does not include an RV site -- they live in their RVs away from their places of employment.
