EditorThe new-to-us old Lazy Daze that we bought here in South Dakota is feeling like home. Bob's been doing all sorts of fixing and renovating. He was diligent about checking each system before we used it. He cleaned and resealed the roof, tightening screws in the process. He serviced the batteries. The solar panels are mounted, the inverter and regulars are installed, and the photovoltaic system is
working. Ditto the macerator. He replaced the step. He added a Fantastic Fan. The propane tank got a new valve. He still needs to install the catalytic heater and replace a couple of exterior light fixtures.
Having your RV outfitted to the way you live and work can make all the difference as to whether or not you
enjoy full-time RVing. Many of the flea markets and farm shows we've worked over the years did not have electricity available to vendors. Our solar system made it so we could work those events in comfort.

Questions Answered - Why Work In a Campground?
~~ An RVer asks: Why would I want to work in a campground instead of getting a job somewhere else? Campground owners want too many hours each week just for a site. What's the big attraction? What am I missing?
~~ I answered in part: Sometimes it is a matter of convenience. You can run home during your break to check the dog.
Sometimes it is a matter of community. RVers tend
to like to work with other RVers.
Sometimes it is a matter of being where you want to be. State park regulations may limit you to 14 days camping in the park. The park where you want to stay may be too expensive for your budget or they may be full.

Your Working While RVing Questions Answered - Certified Teacher
~~ A reader asks: I am a certified middle school teacher and I
am ready to hit the road as a working RVer. Will being a teacher help me find jobs while traveling? Jobs such as the presentations that are given at campsites, or are those usually "rangers"?
~~ I answered in part: Parks often have presentations by Interpretive Ranges. They may be seasonal hires or volunteers. For the
National Park System, rangers in seasonal positions both develop and implement the programs. They teach the historical, cultural, and natural significance of the parks.
As a certified teacher, you may have taken first aid, lifesaving, and CPR classes. Those certifications are highly valuable.

Positive RVing Attitudes
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. - Cynthia Ozick
We are so taken up with the affairs of the present that we don't have time to give thanks for blessings of the
past. ~ John A. Broadus
