Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

This weekend celebrates you and me -- working people. Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement, dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is an annual tribute to the contributions workers make to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Labor Day, celebrated the first Monday in September, became a federal holiday in 1894. This and more about the history of Labor Day is on the US Dept. of Labor website.

Labor Day was first celebrated with parades. However you celebrate this weekend, please be safe.

Bob and I are using this weekend to catch up on some get-ready-for-fall projects. The local radio station is calling for us to have freezing temperatures tonight. Yes, we are thinking about heading south this winter

Remember, in between newsletters, you can find the newest job postings here.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

If you are feeling pessimistic about finding a job, take some action. Action usually gets results. Perhaps most importantly it gets results from you. When you take action -- any action -- it tends to motivate you. It can propel you to keep going and to eventually take the right action -- and the right job.

The Jerky Business that Lets You Be Location Independent

Campground jobs are convenient, if you want to stay in one place for a month or longer. But, if your desire is to be truly nomadic and to move frequently, you need something else. One location independent way to earn a living is to join me in Jerky Direct. Natural and organic jerky. No sign-up fee. No website fee. Our training is specific, practical, and RVer tested.

Earn Your Living with a Blog or Website

A blog or website is yet another way to earn a living without being tied to one location. Your blog can be about most anything. Picking a topic that you enjoy can make it seem more like fun than work. Still, you have to figure out a way to make money with it. If you'd like to see some examples of how of how others are going about it, see the case studies on SiteBuildIt!

Working RVer Tip

Brainstorm to get ideas for a business you could run from your RV. You may want it to be something you can do while camp hosting. It may be an extension of your hobby. It may be related to your previous career. Having that business will give you greater flexibility.

Another Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been working with this respected home business since 2005, though the company has been around since 1868 (yes, more than 140 years!). People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. It's extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want -- no monthly minimums. And, you can work the business wherever your RV travels take you.
