Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

If you're interested in working as a gate guard in the Texas oilfields, be sure to look through the ads posted this month. Several security companies are looking for workers.

We're giving away jerky! We're working on a goal for our jerky business this month -- and are coming up short. So, we're offering a special incentive. Sign up on our team by Wednesday, July 30, and we'll give you two free bags of delicious, natural, organic jerky. No membership kit to buy. No website fees. Details on the business are on our jerky website.

If you have questions about the biz or our special offer, please email me.

It was a busy week for posting Help Wanted ads. There's a mix of work-for-site, salaried positions, jobs that pay for all hours worked and give a FHU site, and some that combine working for a site with some paid hours.

In between newsletters, you can find the newest job postings here.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

Read the ads carefully. They may state a total number of hours they would like you to work. Then, somewhere else in the posting, it may explain how they break those hours down. Part of the hours may be required to cover your site -- with hourly pay for the remaining.

Working RVer Tip

What does "full hook-up" or "FHU" mean? Typically, it only refers to water, electricity, and sewer. Although many RVers expect full service RV sites to include cable TV and wifi, you can't safely assume they will. Before accepting a job offer that includes a FHU site, ask the employer to clarify what he means.

Volunteering Saves Money and Yields Many Rewards

Volunteering can be a fun way to spend your time while you save your money. RVing volunteers frequently receive an RV site and other benefits while helping their favorite causes. They also get to see some beautiful parts of the country and have some great experiences. It's a win-win situation, for both the non-profit organization and the working camper.

RVers donate their time and talents to many worthwhile projects. Public campgrounds and recreational facilities. Museums and historical sites. Camps for children, the disabled, and those with special needs. Groups that help animals. Religious organizations. Agencies that protect our natural resources, our environment, and the world we live in.

You'll find articles about volunteering on the Workers On Wheels website.
