Jobs! Oh, my, are there jobs! All of the jobs highlighted in this issue were posted on since the mid-week newsletter. There are also a bunch more that we posted on Friday and Saturday that are not in the newsletter. Be sure that you go to the work-for-RVers-and-campers.com website February job posting to see all of them. Here's the link to that page.
Bob and I spent Saturday in Homer. We had a yearning for curry at Pho and Thai. The weather looked sunny and clear --
not a flake in the forecast. It seemed like a good day to do a bit of scouting around. About half way there, it started to snow, and kept snowing. Then the wind came up. As for lunch? Pho and Thai is closed for remodeling. But it was still a good day! RVing has taught us to be flexible and not to depend on concrete plans. Romero's fixed us Mexican lunch with the best salsa I've had since south Texas. The eagles out on the Spit were riled and putting on dive-and-glide show. As always in Homer,
the views were spectacular.
The city campground where we usually stay has become a repair yard for boats. It's a waterfront campground, so it's convenient for the bigger boats (180-feet or so) to come onto dry land. It's an annual thing. Come spring, the boats return to the water and the campground again fills with
campers, motorhomes, and RVs of all kinds.
