Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Several of the recent job postings give you the chance to pursue your personal interests while working. One job is at a bike and kayak rental business. Others are on golf courses. Several positions seek folks with an interest in food. One job puts you in a ghost town.

You may remember that years back Dream Jobs to Go published several e-books I wrote about RVing and working while RVing. It's time that I give them an update and republish them. One of the sections that needs updating is the interviews with working RVers. If you are currently a working RVer, and if you'd like to be interviewed to possibly be featured in my book, please email me. The interviews will be by ema il.

Remember, in between newsletters, you can find the newest job postings here.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

Build a reputation as a good worker with a positive attitude, and it can help you find your next position. You can show that you are a solid contributor to the business -- one of the good employees. Do something to boost the workplace morale. Put extra effort into important projects. Improve productivity and keep track of improvements that you make. Document what you are doing; keep a log. And, ask for a personnel review to make sure you and your employer are seeing eye-to-eye on your job performance.

The Jerky Business that Lets You Be Location Independent

Campground jobs are convenient, if you want to stay in one place for a month or longer. But, if your desire is to be truly nomadic and to move frequently, you need something else. One location independent way to earn a living is to join me in Jerky Direct. Natural and organic jerky. No sign-up fee. No website fee. Our training is specific, practical, and RVer tested.

Working RVer Tip

Take employment advice from the successful. Sit around a campfire, and sooner or later, someone is going to bring up work. Only they'll probably call it the "W" word -- as if it is something dreadful. Then, even though he isn't working, he'll tell you what you need to do land a job. I suggest you'd be better off following the guidance of someone who is working -- and is happy in his job.

Earn Your Living with a Blog or Website

A blog or website is yet another way to earn a living without being tied to one location. Your blog can be about most anything. Picking a topic that you enjoy can make it seem more like fun than work. Still, you have to figure out a way to make money with it. If you'd like to see some examples of how of how others are going about it, see the case studies on SiteBuildIt!

Working RVer Tip

Most organizations depend on volunteers to make the events go smoothly. Campgrounds aren't the only place where RVers can trade time worked for a no-pay camping site. Additionally, you often receive other perks, things that non-volunteers pay for.

Answering Your Questions

Wanting to Fulltime and Work with Dogs

Kathleen writes, "I'd like to do something in the dog related field as I've been a groomer for over thirty years. One possibility is working as a vendor at dog shows but I don't know how to go about finding such as job."

Kathleen received several replies. A dog boarding facility posted that they needed help. A working RVer gave some good tips. And, I replied about dog show vending. If you are interested in working with dogs, or if you have advice to share, read more here.

Another Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been working with this respected home business since 2005, though the company has been around since 1868 (yes, more than 140 years!). People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. It's extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want -- no monthly minimums. And, you can work the business wherever your RV travels take you.
