Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

We were in Seward, Alaska most of this past week. On the way there, we stopped at the Summer Solstice Festival in Moose Pass. If you want to get some ideas of work RVers do to support themselves, visit a festival or a tourist town, and look around you. We saw lots of RVs -- from tents to high-end motor coaches -- housing seasonal workers. And, the numerous signs posted indicate a need for many more workers.

Seward is a fun town. Where else do you see someone walking his pet reindeer down the sidewalk? By the way, it seems you can earn a decent living taking pictures of tourists standing next to your pet reindeer.

Remember, in between newsletters, you can find the newest job postings here.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

Many "volunteer" work camping situations include payment or compensation of some kind. And, there is often an agreement that requires a specified number of hours of work in exchange for the compensation. The only thing "volunteer" about it may be that you can choose whether to accept the position.

The Jerky Business that Lets You Be Location Independent

Campground jobs are convenient, if you want to stay in one place for a month or longer. But, if your desire is to be truly nomadic and to move frequently, you need something else. One location independent way to earn a living is to join me in Jerky Direct. Our training is specific, practical, and RVer tested.

Earn Your Living with a Blog or Website

A blog or website is yet another way to earn a living without being tied to one location. Your blog can be about most anything. Picking a topic that you enjoy can make it seem more like fun than work. Still, you have to figure out a way to make money with it. If you'd like to see some examples of how of how others are going about it, see the case studies on SiteBuildIt!

Working RVer Tip

Work for pay or an RV site. You choose. Don't buy into the myth that jobs for RVers are all volunteer or work-for-site jobs. Those are available for RVers who want them. However, jobs that pay hourly wages for all hours worked (and may include an RV site and utilities, as well) are also available.

Another Location Independent Business for RVers

Bob and I have been working with the Summit Group since 2005. People love the vanilla, cinnamon, and pepper, the old time remedies, and the natural skin care products - and that makes it easy to sell. It's extremely flexible. You do as much or as little as you want. And, you can work the business wherever your RV travels take you.
