Workers On Wheels: Work For RVers and Campers

Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

The excitement this week is a forest fire raging behind our home base. Besides our RV, we also have our cabin and secondhand store business here. The Funny River Fire is now over 100,000 acres. We are under an evacuation advisory, which means be set to move at a moment's notice. Having a home-on-wheels that's ready to roll eases the stress considerably. Still, we are anxious.

Looking through the list of jobs in this issue, you'll see most pay for all hours worked. In addition, they provide an RV parking site. That's great news for working RVers. If you want a job that only provides an RV site, be sure to check the website as we do have those posted, also.

Even when you don't get the newsletter, you can find the newest job postings here.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

The Jerky Business that Lets You Be Location Independent

Campground jobs are convenient, if you want to stay in one place for a month or longer. But, if your desire is to be truly nomadic and to move frequently, you need something else. One location independent way to earn a living is to join me in Jerky Direct. Our training is specific, practical, and RVer tested.

Small Engine Repair and Maintenance

If you have knowledge and experience in fixing small engines, consider putting those skills to work on the road. Most campgrounds have lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, lawn edgers, leaf blowers, garden tillers, portable generators, air compressors, water pumps, pressure washers, snow blowers, chippers, shredders, and similar gas powered equipment. Chances are high that those tools need routine maintenance and a good cleaning. It's also likely that one or more of them needs repairs.

Referral Fees

Referral marketing is different from retailing. You have no product to inventory, buy, or deliver. Instead, you are an affiliate or intermediate partner. You let others know about a product or service and where they can buy it. You maybe have brochures or catalogs to hand out to interested people.

Our accountant sends a coupon with our annual tax worksheet, offering a $50 credit for each new customer we send him. A fishing guide we know gives us his business cards, we write our name on the back, and when someone books a fishing trip with him and returns the card, we receive a finder's fee.

Official programs exist for RV parts, campground memberships, hitches, publications, and a variety of other goods and services you use every day.
