Workers On Wheels: Work For RVers and Campers

Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I've been down on Homer Spit. Homer is a gorgeous place any time of the year. It has the classic Alaskan views of mountains behind the ocean, with eagles overhead. Homer is eclectic and artsy, and a fishing community.

Businesses are just opening their doors for the season. Captain Pattie's, a seafood restaurant on the spit, is having preseason specials. We feasted on all-you-can-eat sweet, Alaskan scallops, a shoulder season deal.

"Help Wanted" posters seem to be everywhere.

The city campground is open, sort-of. Meaning they don't have the water and dump open. And, the biggest section of the campground is filled with large boats being repaired and rebuilt. For Bob, who enjoys the history of boats and most anything mechanical, all that boat work going on is an added attraction.

I hope the storms and bad weather missed you. Here, the weather is perfect, almost summer like for us.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Why Are You Working?

Well, duh.... Money. Well, maybe not. Some of our readers work because they need the income to buy gas and groceries. They need wages to make RV payments, buy clothes for the kids, and save for retirement. But, we also have readers who work for very different reasons. When you see a job offer that isn't right for you, it could be that your reason for working doesn't match the position offered. Read more,
